What’s In Your Mind?

It is written, Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. Philippians 2:5

What mind is in Christ Jesus?

Many think Isaiah 55:8-9 is a green light to keep being and doing as the world does, in other words a license to live as you want in sin; Because God will forgive.  “He ain’t done with me yet. He knows my heart.”

For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

NO!!! Quite the contrary.

Haggai 1:5 Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.

Jeremiah 7:3 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, [then] I will cause you to dwell in this place.

Deuteronomy 11:22 For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;

Deuteronomy 5:33 Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, [so] that ye may live, and [that it may be] well with you, and [that] ye may prolong [your] days in the land which ye shall possess.

1 Chronicles 28:9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee-Christ]: because he trusteth in thee.

The enemies camp wants to keep your mind in doubt and as a fool in derision; like their leader.  Yet, you were created in God’s spiritual image, as was he until Pride in his Heart told his mind he could be like the most High God. Isaiah 14:12-17

Misery loves company

Go back to Garden of Eden in Genesis 3, he used his tactic of twisting the scripture of Truth on Eve to make her doubt and question.

God explicitly told Adam

Genesis 2:15-17 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

The enemy knew what God said, so he went to the woman.

Twisted truth is wickedness.

Genesis 3:1-6 The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the LORD God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?” 2 “Of course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,” the woman replied. 3 “It’s only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die.'” 4 “You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. 5 “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.” 6 The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too.

Adam’s disobedience to what God said cost him everything.

Jesus was born to redeem us from what Adam’s disobedience costs us, and change our mindset.

Old Testament

Leviticus 24:10-20 And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father [was] an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: and this son of the Israelitish [woman] and a man of Israel strove together in the camp; 11 And the Israelitish woman’s son blasphemed the name [of the LORD], and cursed. And they brought him unto Moses: (and his mother’s name [was] Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan:) 12 And they put him in ward, that the mind of the LORD might be shewed them. 13 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 14 Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard [him] lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him. 15 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin. 16 And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, [and] all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name [of the LORD], shall be put to death. 17 And he that killeth any man shall surely be put to death. 18 And he that killeth a beast shall make it good; beast for beast. 19 And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour; as he hath done, so shall it be done to him; 20 Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him [again].

JESUS- New Testament in His blood

Matthew 5:38-48 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: 39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have [thy] cloke also. 41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. 42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away. 43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more [than others]? do not even the publicans so? 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what [is] that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

How does one renew their mind?

Firstly, one must want their mind renewed. God will not go against your free will and will give you over to be a reprobate: Strong’s concordance G96 not standing the test, not approved,  unfit for, unproved, spurious, reprobate. Strong’s Concordance H398 to reject, despise, refuse

Jeremiah 6:30 Reprobate silver shall [men] call them, because the LORD hath rejected them.

Romans 1:27-28 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate/debased mind, to do those things which are not convenient[fitting];

2 Timothy 3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny [him], being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

A True man of God and friend of Jesus Prophet Bob Jones shared this:

He was sent to ‘restore’ a man who was a Mormon and had left his wife when she became born again. He moved in with a priest and they both had different women [fornicating-adultery] whenever they wanted, drinking, etc.  He rejected Bob Jones, and told him he was living the high life and when he was ready he would go back to his wife.  God rejected him.  The man died.  Bob Jones later saw that man, in a vision, in Hell saying but the Priest told me it was Ok.

THIS DAY, the Lord says, “Let not man dissuade you with vain empty words.  I AM against your precepts. LEARN OF ME.”

Matthew 23:9 And call no [man] your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

Psalm 1:1 Blessed [is] the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Renew your Mind and ask for a new Clean Heart

Psalms 73:21 Thus my heart was grieved, And I was vexed in my mind.

Romans 7:23, 25 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. … 25 I thank God–through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.

Titus 1:15 To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled.

Jeremiah 12:1-3 Righteous [are] You, O LORD, when I plead with You; Yet let me talk with You about [Your] judgments. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? [Why] are those happy who deal so treacherously? … – 2 You have planted them, yes, they have taken root; They grow, yes, they bear fruit. You [are] near in their mouth But far from their mind.

3 But You, O LORD, know me; You have seen me, And You have tested my heart toward You. Pull them [the wicked] out like sheep for the slaughter, And prepare them for the day of slaughter.

Matthew 22:37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

Hebrews 8:10 “For this [is] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

Romans 10:10-11 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Psalms 24:3-5 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? 4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. 5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

1 Peter 4:1 Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,

2 Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.

What Mind is in You?

If you want to be set free of doubt, confusion, and the wicked ways of the world to not be cast off by the Lord, but have Peace, be led by the Spirit of God being sons of God, and have the Lord manifest himself to you, then repent and ask our Father God in heaven in Jesus name.

God I repent for my unbelief, doubt, double-mindedness, confusion, holding onto my ways and not allowing you to totally consume my life to experience your unconditionally love.  I ask that you Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10.

Jesus, will you help me fulfil your joy and let me be likeminded, having the same love, [being] of one accord, of one mind with Christ?  Philippians 2:2. God, breathe your breath into my nostrils. In Jesus Name.
