A SIGN IS GIVEN

Constant rhetoric can be heard as the April 8, 2024 Solar eclipse nears: Where it will pass? What does it mean? etc.

Jesus said, in Luke 12:56 hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?

In Biblical times, a solar eclipse occurred in April when Jesus was on the Cross.

1 When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death: … 31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify [him]. … 35 And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots. … 39 And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads, … 41 Likewise also the chief priests mocking [him], with the scribes and elders, said, … 45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? … 50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.  [Matthew 27:1, 31, 35, 39, 41, 45-46, 50 KJV]

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. [Galatians 6:7 KJV]

There are twelve hours in a day. [John 11:9] Sunrise to Sunset: 6am to 6pm.  The sixth hour was 12pm.  The ninth hour was 3pm.   Now, you may recall Jesus’ last supper was at Passover in the month Nissan, the first month of the year on the Jewish calendar.

Passover established

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, 2 This month [shall be] unto you the beginning of months: it [shall be] the first month of the year to you. … 5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take [it] out from the sheep, or from the goats: 6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. 7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike [it] on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it. 8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; [and] with bitter [herbs] they shall eat it. … 11 And thus shall ye eat it; [with] your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it [is] the LORD’S passover. 12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I [am] the LORD. [Exodus 12:1-2, 5-8, 11-12 KJV]

Passover observed

17 Now the first [day] of the [feast of] unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover? 18 And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples. … 26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed [it], and brake [it], and gave [it] to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. 27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave [it] to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; 28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom. [Matthew 26:17-18, 26-29 KJV]

‘Scholars’ indicate the trajectory of the April eclipse to pass over several Nineveh cities.  In the Bible, Nineveh was the place God told Jonah to go and warn them of impending judgment because of the evil that men do.

1 Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, 2 Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me. [Jonah 1:1-2 KJV]

But Jonah disobeyed God’s command, and got on a boat to Tarshish. Well you should know the story of Jonah and the [whale] Great Fish. Afterward,

1 And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying, 2 Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee. 3 So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days’ journey. 4 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown. 5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them. … 9 Who can tell [if] God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not? 10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did [it] not. [Jonah 3:1-5, 9-10 KJV]

THIS SIGN IN THE SKY WILL BE OUR FINAL WARNING TO REPENT OF THE EVIL WICKEDNESS THAT MEN DO.

The city of Nineveh had enough sense to proclaim a fast, and turn from their evil way.

DO YOU?

JESUS IS RETURNING.
